2017 is coming to a close and thus it’s time to think about what we’ve accomplished in the old year and what we wish for in the new. After all, a new year demands new resolutions! Here is a look back on the year 2017 as well as a list of resolutions for the upcoming 2018. Enjoy!
2017 has been a conflicted, difficult but also very rewarding year for me. I started YouTube on the 24th of December 2016 and have since then struggled to keep going. It’s been challenging but also fun and I have learned a lot from it. YouTube however, has gone downhill during 2017. “Adpocalypse”, demonetization and so much unnecessary drama. It’s been all over the place, so for the sake of not just my channel but everyone’s channels i sincerely hope they pull themselves together next year.
Though I didn’t only begin YouTube I was also inspired to start my very own blog. photography, and to a lesser extent writing, has always been a passion of mine. So getting the chance to do both in a fun and engaging way where I had full control over the output has honestly been a dream come true. Even though it’s not nearly as “old” as the channel, it feels so much more polished and so much more me. I’ve enjoyed it immensely and I look forward to putting more content on it next year.
Another big thing that happened this year was moving with my boyfriend to Brighton last May. Before I only had to move myself (as well as a few necessities) but this time we where moving everything we had overseas. It was a challenge we faced head on and it paid off. We both absolutely love it here. We’re closer to friends as well as opportunities now and I think it will be a good solid foundation going forward!
Speaking of moving, travelling has taken up a good chunk of 2017 as well. I feel like I was going back and forth, from country to country, almost every month! It was exhausting but also exhilarating all at the same time! The Ready Player Three tour definitely had a huge impact on me and I am eternally grateful I was allowed to tag along. Seeing the guys do their thing and meeting so many of you guys just… I have no words! It was incredibly humbling and fascinating! It left me feeling inspired! I had a similar experience not too long ago during Sean’s Jacksepticeye Holiday Special Charity Livestream (that’s a mouthful!). The stream was raising money for the charity Save The Children and it succeeded with a whopping 346’178$! I was so flattered I got to make even a small guest appearance. Watching Sean, Robin, Ethan, PJ and Emma doing their utmost to keep people entertained as well as the crew who without fail continued to keep everything flowing smoothly was awesome. A big shout out to the people from Save The Children who sat with me behind the scenes and chatted. You were both so wonderful and what you do is so inspiring! Good luck in 2018!
We are almost caught up with present time now. Only a few more days remain before we make the leap into the new year and all of what that might entail. Maybe even some cool new announcements? Who knows! *wink*
Now onward to 2018! Here are my personal resolutions for the new year!
My New Years Resolutions For 2018:
I know this is a very “popular” goal to have in your New Years resolutions and it’s the one we rarely stick to each year but I’ve been so close last year to getting my body to where I want it to be. Stronger, slimmer and more in tune with my own self image. I want to attempt to reach that goal next year. I want to live healthier, eat better as well as get a good workout routine going for myself.
Post more regularly on the blog.
This blog has come to mean a lot to me over the past couple of months I have had it so I want to continue to work on it and see it grow. I love this blog so much so in the new year I’ve decided I want to try and post more regularly and make even better, more stylized content for you guys. Look forward to it!
Post more in general.
To keep up with social media has always been a weakness of mine, so in 2018 I will try and post more, interact more and in general just try and connect more with you guys! You’ve been my biggest pillar of support during not only my year on YouTube but on the blog, Instagram, Twitter and Tumblr as well. I want to give back, so next year i’ll try even harder to keep up with it all!
Try harder to better myself:
I always strive to better myself and i’m constantly trying to become a better person. Next year is going to be no different. I want to be a person people actively want to talk to and get to know. I want to help myself overcome my insecurities and inner demons. I want to be a person worth looking up to.
And there you have it! All of what i’m hoping to accomplish in 2018 compiled in a neat bullet format that’s easy to read! Thank you for reading and thank you for your unwavering support throughout 2017. I hope you put your heart into achieving your goals in the coming year like i will!
Love you all and Happy New Year!! xoxox
