Recently I posted an Instagram story featuring some homemade guacamole and ever since then, I’ve gotten quite a few requests for a recipe. That’s why I thought that today I would heed your wishes and present you with this very simple, yet delicious, summertime dip.
As most of you already know, avocados are a millennials’ best friend. This large fruit (which is technically a large berry, if we want to get really specific) is absolutely delicious and perfect for the hot summer weather. Whether it’s for salads, on top of a piece of nice crispy toast or as a classic dip with either some crisps or some flatbread on the side. Needless to say, it works for everything.
Heres what you’ll need:
- 1 Avocado
- 1 Garlic clove
- 1 Tomato
Start by peeling your avocado and removing the stone. Once you’ve gotten the “flesh” out you then start mashing it in a small bowl. I usually use a fork but if you want a smoother texture you can use a blender or a food processor as well. Next is the tomato. You want to chop it into fine pieces and add that to the mash. Peel and press your garlic and mix it in with the rest of your guacamole as well. Finally, add a squeeze of lime and a pinch of salt for flavor. You can always add more or less depending on the intensity of the flavor you want! That’s basically the gist of it! Super easy to make, takes no more than 5 minutes and it’s such a delicious summer snack.
Sorry that this post is one of the shorter ones. I got a lot of request for this particular recipe and it seemed unnecessary to pad it out just for the sake of filling up space so I left it simple and to the point. Let me know what you think of it though and what you want to see more of on the blog! I’m always open for suggestions.
